Or, oh, what's that over there?He'll talk as much as he likes, trying his best to make light of any situation, but he truly says very little. Despite this, he is very easy to get along with, mostly by his own design, as he desperately wants people to like him. Most see him as being nice and agreeable despite his positively sigh worthy one-liners.Despite having embraced what he learned as part of clan Lavellan, and claiming to hate Orlesian politics and the Game, Etoile very easily gets wrapped up in the intrigue and is good at it, to everyone's surprise. He is also very cut-throat, the complete opposite to his normal persona. Absolutely terrifying.Etoile's hair is a very light blonde and always, without fault, messy. Many have tried to help him tame it, without success. He somewhat embraces this fact now and has taken to tying in a little braid. His eyes were a dark green but have, since gaining the anchor, started becoming lighter. He has a long scar on the bottom of his jaw from a hunting accident.-- Past --Etoile was raised by an Orlesian noble family that was unable to have an heir at the time. He was originally a servant's son. They treated him largely like a doll or novelty and never let him leave home or be seen without permission. Eventually, the nobles had their own child and became bored with the elf, to the point of neglecting him.The family's disinterest in him gave him the ability to finally sneak out on his own and he met with clan Lavellan members that occasionally came to trade. Etoile would meet with the elves whenever they were nearby and eventually, at 15, Etoile packed up and left with them.Etoile never fully became "Dalish" but the clan was generally more of a home than where he grew up.
Years later, when the Divine Conclave was about to take place, Etoile was chosen to attend, due to the clan head's certainty of the importance of the event and Etoile's knowledge of the Chantry and Orlais as a whole due to his upbringing.

Fun Facts

  • He chose his name himself at 15, so of course it's a bit cheesy...

  • He loves sweets with cinnamon.

  • He loves to gossip, but will not admit it.

  • Despite being generally liked by his clan, he never made any good friends. Most of his interactions were surface level.

  • He's scared of dogs but is trying to get over it. They're great conceptually... and he's mostly fine with them... from a distance...

  • He's also scared of spiders, but he could care less about the undead and ghosts.

  • His type is serious but bashful ; )
